Welcome!
We strive to provide resources, education, support and
camaraderie for parents who wish to make conscious, compassionate,
and informed choices for themselves and their families.
Member families are interested in a variety of natural living
issues such as holistic health care, natural birth, attachment
parenting, alternative schooling, organic foods, environmentally
conscious living, etc. Some of us have been on our natural living
journey for many years, while others are just starting out and are
seeking information and support in their new endeavors.
The intention of Natural Families of Kalamazoo is to create a
network for us, both online and in person. Though we aren't
currently meeting on a monthly basis, we do hope to plan gatherings
throughout the year. Group members are welcomed and encouraged
to get together whenever the desire strikes them, and our
yahoo group,
NFKalamazoo, is a great way to stay connected! This
is an online space where we can ask questions, let others know
about upcoming events, invite people over for playgroups, or just
share or vent as needed.

Family Talk Magazine Article
One of our members, Jessica English, besides being a mama of two cool
boys, is also a writer for Family Talk
Magazine, a bi-monthly publication of the Kalamazoo Gazette, for
families in the Kalamazoo area. The official article is no
longer available online, but you can read Jessica's "uncut"
version here on our website.
Over 180 members strong

Kalamazoo for Kids
A new website is now available for all local
families! Their goal is to include any and all activities, events, and
resources for families with kids of all ages living in Kalamazoo and
surrounding areas, including summer camps, classes, musical events,
pregnancy and birth resources, thrift stores, etc. If you would
like to suggest some links, please email info@kalamazooforkids.com
and let them know. Big or small, they want to know about what's
going on so they can spread the word!
